Walter aims to produce pure, typical varietal character showing wines with a refreshing, noticable but harmoniously integrated acidity. He uses almost solely stainless steel tanks. In 1993 whole cluster pressing was introduced to his Riesling harvest and it seems that fermentation is going slower now resulting in wines with stronger fruit and more elegance.
